Summer Camp 2004, 15th to 22nd August

The camp was set up on top of the hill at Chelwood campsite between Bath and Bristol mid afternoon on Sunday 15th August.

Chelwood is a very tranquil site, surrounded by woodland and streams, there was no shortage of wood for the fires, and soon these were blazing away, and dinner was served overlooking the surrounding countryside.

Tuesday was spent in Bath, followed by a cooking competition.

Wednesday afternoon saw the Scouts out on the water at Saltford, kayaking. All were able to get over the weir(s), and all enjoyed themselves.

Caving was the main activity for Thursday, and most of the Scouts and leaders made their way through Goatchurch Cavern, ably lead by the Charterhouse Centre's Instructors.

All returned home happy and tired. Thanks must go to Linda, Stuart and Tony from the 14th, Fran from the 25th and Graham from the 29th for making it all possible and a success.
