Summer Camp 2001

This year's summer camp was held here, at Belvoir Castle near Grantham from the 28th July to the 4th of August.. We camped with Scouts from five other Troops:

35th Blackford
1st Workington
4th East Grinstead
1st Heworth
12th Windsor
3rd Ben Rhydding

We received an outstanding camp report:.

It is a D.C.'s pleasure to visit such an outstanding camp. This well practised operation was demonstrating the best possible standard of camping. The joint nature of this camp is an excellent example of leaders and young people working together and having a great time. To provide a camp of this size with outstanding activities must have required an enormous amount of planning and great credit must be passed on to the leadership team. Well done to everyone involved. You will always be welcome in Melton Mowbray District.
